Coorg / Kodagu, very
special in all aspects, have always stood apart for their beauty, bravery, and
hospitality. With its distinguished martial tradition, the land has contributed

Known by their special and unusual variant of wearing the saree, the women of
Kodagu are graceful and elegant. Coffee, the refreshing brew, is extensively
grown and cured in Kodagu. Most of its hillsides are dotted with coffee
plantations. At the bottom of the slopes under canopies of huge trees, are
grown orange, black pepper and cardamom. Well maintained with modern curing and
irrigation methods. These plantations exude a heady fragrance in April, when
the coffee bushes blossom. Coffee-picking time is between November and March.
